We are thrilled to share the success of our debut exhibition at the Design in Mental Health conference held in Manchester on 10-11 June 2024. The event provided an excellent platform for us to showcase our innovative products designed specifically for mental health environments across the UK. Over the course of two days, we had the pleasure of engaging with numerous visitors who were keen to learn more about our offerings and how they can enhance safety, comfort, and functionality in mental health settings.
Showcasing Innovation: The Prodigy Bedroom Series
The star of our exhibition was undoubtedly our Prodigy bedroom series, which garnered significant attention for being the UK’s first roto-moulded bedroom range featuring a woodgrain finish. This pioneering design combines the durability and safety of roto-moulding technology with the aesthetic appeal of a woodgrain texture, creating a warm and inviting environment that is also highly resilient. Visitors were impressed by the blend of form and function, recognising the potential for the Prodigy series to revolutionise bedroom design in mental health facilities.
Durability Demonstrated: The Hondo Nuevo Modular Chair
Another major highlight was our Hondo Nuevo modular chair. We showcased a compelling video demonstrating its remarkable resilience—being crushed to 250mm and then returning to its original form. This demonstration vividly illustrated the chair’s durability and robustness, crucial features for furniture in mental health environments where safety and longevity are paramount. The Hondo Nuevo’s innovative design not only ensures comfort but also provides peace of mind regarding its indestructibility.
Versatile and Secure: Bedroom Cabinetry
We also featured our versatile Apollo Pro and Titan bedroom cabinetry. These pieces are designed with both security and usability in mind, offering robust storage solutions that minimise potential risks in mental health settings. The positive feedback from attendees highlighted the importance of reliable and safe storage options in these environments, affirming our commitment to addressing the unique needs of mental health facilities.
Roto-Moulded Excellence: Forte Dining Set and More
Our exhibit included the Forte dining table and chair, which, like our other roto-moulded products, are designed to withstand the rigours of demanding environments while providing a welcoming and comfortable space for dining. The positive reactions to the Forte set underscored the importance of combining durability with aesthetics in communal areas. Additionally, our Coupe and Vesta chairs were on display, further showcasing the versatility and resilience of our roto-moulded furniture range. Attendees appreciated the balance between sturdy construction and modern design, making these chairs ideal for various applications within mental health settings.
Innovative Solutions: Anti-Ligature Halo Display Board
Lastly, we introduced our anti-ligature Halo display board, which doubles as a mirror. This innovative product addresses a critical need in mental health facilities by providing a dualpurpose solution that enhances safety without compromising functionality. The Halo display board was met with enthusiasm, as it exemplifies our dedication to creating thoughtful, multifunctional products that prioritise the well being of patients.
Special Collaboration with Norix Furniture
We were also fortunate to have Norix Furniture join us from Chicago. As part of our exclusive distributor agreement with Norix (Norix.com), their presence added significant value to our exhibition. Norix is renowned for their high-quality, durable furniture solutions for challenging environments, and we are proud to partner with them to bring their innovative products to the UK market. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to providing the best in mental health furniture design and functionality. Looking Forward The feedback and interest we received at Design in Mental Health 2024 have been incredibly encouraging. We are excited about the potential of our products to make a meaningful impact in mental health environments across the UK. This exhibition has not only allowed us to showcase our current innovations but has also provided valuable insights that will guide our future developments. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited our stand and engaged with us.
